Responsible sourcing

The Combine processes only ore from its own licensed mines at Sary-Bulak, Kemer and Kyzyl-Jar. It does not buy ore or concentrate from other sources.

Our rules

  • All ore is weighed on the weighbridges at the mines and at the Chatkal mill, and each load is recorded with its mine, stope and truck.
  • The Combine does not buy hand-picked stibnite or ore from abandoned workings, in the ISEZ or beyond the Qara-Chik line.
  • Offers of such ore made to the Combine or its employees are reported to the Customs Service and the Ministry of Natural Resources.
  • Every export shipment leaves with the papers of a licensed works, as required by the Customs Service, and pays the export duty on antimony concentrate.
  • Suppliers and buyers are checked before a contract is signed. See Suppliers.

Licensing of ore sourcing

Since the Chinese export controls of 2024, stibnite from old workings has been carried out of Irad by informal routes. The Combine supports the tighter licensing of ore sourcing announced by the Minister of Natural Resources, Chingiz Asanov, in October 2026. Ore that is weighed, papered and processed in Irad pays wages and royalties in Irad.

Employees can report a breach of these rules through the Trust line.
