The Deep Levels Restart is the second stage of the Sary-Bulak and Chatkal Restart Programme. The first stage, the restart of idle processing lines, begins in December 2026.
The Sary-Bulak Deep Levels Restart is the main long-term investment project of the Combine. Its aim is to extend the life of the Sary-Bulak mine and to raise ore output by deepening the Central incline and by reopening worked-out levels that were uneconomic at earlier antimony prices.
Scope
- Deepening of the Central incline below the present working levels, about 750 m below surface
- Reopening of worked-out levels of Shaft No. 1 "Pioneer" and Shaft No. 2 "Severny"
- Renewal of dewatering pumps and ventilation
- Additional loaders, haul trucks and drilling rigs
